SO MANY DIETS- WHICH ONE IS RIGHT FOR ME?
There are low carb diets,
Low fat diets,
High fat diets,
High protein diets,
Diets where you eat between certain hours,
Diets where you pretty much don’t eat certain days of the week,
Diets where you track everything
Diets where you don’t track and focus on portions instead
Diets where only their special smoothie will work
Where only their miraculous pill or potion works…
It is an absolute minefield out there and we completely sympathise with you. Instead, we want to share with you today a simple 3-step rule to ‘filter’ out the good options from the not so good options out there for you.
STEP ONE: IS IT SAFE?
I don’t care how many bells and whistles it has, how many beautiful celebs and athletes endorse it, if it’s not safe you shouldn’t even have it on your list of considerations in any way shape or form. Your health is #1 and nothing short.
STEP TWO: IS IT EFFECTIVE?
Does it actually work? Some diets are effective with lots of science behind it. Some have absolutely no grounding in research whatsoever and are not effective for weight loss. At the end of the day you have to get your results, so it needs to work!
STEP THREE: IS IT SUSTAINABLE?
Is it actually something you can implement for months if not years or decades going forward? This is the perspective we need to be thinking with. If it IS safe, and IS effective, but you can only do it for a week without pulling your hair out? It’s still of course a no go. You’re here to change your life remember, not your week.
Using this 3 step filter will massively assist you with identifying strategies which are more or alternatively less likely to help set you up for the rest of your life!
